FIRST EP FROM MR BUBBLEHEAD!

Today is the release date for the first EP from Mr Bubblehead, a.k.a. Lars Söderberg, recently signed writer to Scandinavian Songs, with background from “Musikmakarna” music school.

LOVERDOSE QUALIFIED FOR EUROVISION SONG CONTEST SELECTION FINALS!

Niclas Lundin and Maria Marcus has, together with Gerard Borg, written the song “Loverdose”, which has qualified as one of the 24 songs that will compete in the TV-broadcasted Eurovision Song Contest selection finals February 1-2, 2013, in Malta.

It is being performed by Melanie Zammit. Congrats Niclas and Maria!

DIZTORD PRESENTS THE NEW TRACK “WALK AWAY”

Swedish broadcasting company SVT has had the first press conference for the huge song contest shows February – Mach 2013, revealing the artist line-up for the first two “semifinals”.

Scandinavian Songs are proud to announce that their songwriters are represented also this year.

Anton Malmberg Hård af Segerstad has written “Begging” with Fredrik Kempe, which will be performed in Göteborg on February 9th by newcomer ANTON EWALD, but already the Saturday before that, on the 2nd, Swedish soul pop legend ERIC GADD will present the song “Vi kommer aldrig att förlora” (“We will never lose”), co-written by Scandinavian Songs writers Jacob Olofsson and Thomas Stenström.

Good day on the Japanese official Oricon charts!

Arashi debuts at no 1 with their new hugely anticipated album “Popcorn”, which includes the song “All Night Long”, written by the Never Alone team (Joakim Bjornberg and Christofer Erixon) with Daichi. Over 300.000 units (well passing Platinum) first day!

Yuma Nakayama enters the singles chart at no 3 with the song “Missing Piece”, written by Claes Andreasson and Torbjörn Wassenius.

And new entry at no 2 on the Japanese music-DVD chart is “Playzone 12 – Song and Dance”, from the successful stage musical produced by Johnnys Entertainment, including the number “Hunter”, written by Niclas Lundin and Tony Malm.

DIZTORD KICKS OFF NEW PROJECT

Scandinavian Songs writer and producer Tord Bäckström, known for his devoted work for hard rock act De Van and some prominent Japanese hits (super boy rock/pop band Kat-Tun) among many other things, is now kicking off a very exciting project in the metal pop-field.

As “Diztord”, Tord invites various featuring artists, and interestly enough takes inspiration from how DJs work as artists today, and introduces that for the first time in the metal genre, in a unique blend of musical expressions.

In cooperation with the label Metronize and digital distributor X5, we will see some excting and truly unexpected collaborations in the near future.

Here´s the first release: “I´M GONE” featuring the brilliant Linda Varg, known from Swedish Idol , and Henrik Englund, aggressively focused “growler” from Scarpoint.
