Niclas was signed to Murlyn Songs by Pelle Lidell in 2004 after graduating from the Songwriters Academy where he has stayed as a part time teacher since then. He teaches Logic as an Apple Certified Trainer and he is also in charge of the 22 native studios they have for their students.

Niclas first cut was a single with Gracia Baur, “I Don’t Think So” in 2003 which made it to #3 on the Singles Chart and nearly sold Gold. Since then Niclas has had more single cuts in Sweden, Germany, Finland, Hong Kong together with several album cuts. After three years with Murlyn he was independent for a time but in the fall of 2009 he signed with Scandinavian Songs. Niclas has written with numerous writers including Vacuum, Hanne Sorvaag, Jonas Jeberg, Nina Woodford, Erik Nyholm, Dimitri Ehrlich, Maria Marcus, Gustav Efraimsson, Nathan Duvall, Adam Powers, Leo Chantzaras, Moh Denebi, Tobias Gustavsson and so many more.

As a writer Niclas does everything from writing to producing, but in a cowrite situation his biggest focus is the lyrics and the melody. Niclas has a really strong feeling for hit melodies and finding lyrics that create great hooks.

Niclas has been extremely active with great cowrites,  cowriting trips together with his wife to London, Berlin, Brugge among other citites. Competed with songs in the Swedish selections for the Eurovision Song Contest both 2010 and 2011, included on the best selling albums of the year in Sweden, going 5 x platinum.

Apart from a string of interesting current international holds, the last years have seen releases of Niclas songs on artists such as Danish successful dance act Infernal, Japanese female superstar Kumi Koda and girl band DREAM (both on Avex) ,  Korean girl band sensation After School, Canadian songstress Jacynthe (Universal) and Swedish number one sensation Eric Saade (Roxy Recordings) for his first two successful albums. Other upcoming releases are with Russian superstar Sergey Lazarev, the Kazakhstan X-Factor winner Daria.

Niclas is married to Maria Marcus, also an excellent writer and an amazing producer and although they work very much separately, they also make a great team, complementing each other in a very good way.

He has co-written one  song for the Swedish selections for Eurovision Song Contest 2012 with new exciting artist Mimi Oh (Lionheart/Universal) as well as one with Andreas Lundstedt, of Alcazar fame, for release on EMI Sweden, co-written with his wife, producer Maria Marcus, and American legendary tunesmith Randy Goodrum.

The couple also enjoy the success of having one track qualified for the Norwegian selections for Eurovision Song Contest, the intriguingly beautiful “Another Heartache”, co-written with the artist,  Rikke Lie (Universal), as well as delivering the Idol winners song in Norway 2011, “Building An Aeroplane” for young newcomer Jenny Langlo (Universal).

Niclas is constantly involved in  exciting co-write projects, currently with, among many others, Eric Bazilian (of The Hooters fame), Randy Goodrum, Tania Doko (Bachelor Girl), Mahan Moin, and Andreas Moe. Andreas, known for his smashing lead vocals on Avicii´s super hit”Fade Into Darkness” performs two songs, co-penned with Niclas in the new romcom UK movie “The Knot”, set for big release in the spring of 2012.

An extremely active team partnership for Niclas has been as topliner together with the talented producer/writer Anton Malmberg Hård af Segerstad,  as  “GOLDFINGER & SCRIPT.  They´re also debuting with that team name as artists,  with the featuring of Lily Minou´s brilliant vocals, on new exciting Swedish dance label Uniform Beat (Playground), presenting the pumping “Dancing In My Head”.
