Jonatan Lundberg
Jonatan comes from the very north parts of Sweden, a background that by mythology creates silent, strong, and mildly expressive personalities.
In a way that could be just the correct description for him, but he´s also a man of surprises.
He´s done acting in a couple of TV movies, and also worked in the film industry on the other side of the camera, but it´s the music that of course is his main driving force, and that started with him as the songwriter and lead vocalist of the band The Universe, which got themselves a publishing contract and were close to sign the major label deal, also with interest from the UK, around 2003.
However, they disbanded and Jonatan eventually embarked on a solo career and finally got signed to Cosmos Records some years later and took on the artist alter ego JESTER, releasing his debut album “Strange Days” in late 2010.
Jesters songs are well rooted in the anglophilian pop tradition, with grand gestures and strong melodies, hammered on from his everpresent piano.
In 2012 Jonatan will feature as the artist Jester in the much anticipated film “Primetime” based on the best selling Swedish author Liza Marklunds´ crime novel of same title, performing one of his songs from the “Strange Days” album.
